HER Outdoors Week, an initiative by Sport Ireland, will take place from 8th – 14th August. This is the second year Sport Ireland have run this initiative to celebrate and encourage more women and girls in the outdoors. This campaign looks to empower females to find what the outdoors means to them by redefining the perception of outdoor sport whilst evoking the excitement that comes with discovering the outdoors.

Our clubs, cycling organisations and Local Sports Partnerships have been working to create lots of opportunities for women and girls to perhaps try a new discipline of cycling, or just to get back on the bike!

Check out the list of events going on around the country and make sure you get involved!

A huge thank you to everyone who has coordinated an event for HER Outdoors, if your event is not featured and you’d like it to be, please get in touch with elaine.cahill@cyclingireland.ie

Enjoy getting out in the outdoors! Share your images on social media and tag @CyclingIreland and @SportIreland and use #FindYourOutdoors #HEROutdoorsWeek #itsnotarace
