Department of Transport 

The Department of Transport, in collaboration with the RSA, provide funding for Cycle Right - the national standard for cycle training. Cycle Right is produced and facilitated by Cycling Ireland.

The Community Bike Rides initiative is supported by the Department of Transport since 2023.  The initiative is supported as a Department of Transport ‘Active Travel’ policy, joining a range of programmes aimed at promoting the use of non-motorised modes of transport. 

Road Safety Authority

The Road Safety Authority's (RSA) mission is to make Irish roads safer for everyone. The RSA, in collaboration with the Department of Transport, provide funding for Cycle Right - the national standard for cycle training. Cycle Right is produced and facilitated by Cycling Ireland.
