Cycling Ireland has today, Monday 13th September issued the final calculated times and results for the National Youth Time Trial Championships held on the 21st August by Gorey Cycling Club.
We would like to apologise for this delay in finalising the results, which has caused concern for many riders and parents/guardians involved, but due to a number of issues during the time trial, that were outside the control of the organisers, Gorey Cycling Club, we have had to spend time analysing the various pieces of information we had available to us including time keepers’ sheets, photographs with time stamps, etc to establish what we now believe to be the correct and final result.
There are key learnings from these championships which we will work through with the Youth Commission, to ensure this will not happen in the future, and we would like to thank the Volunteers who have spent many hours scrutinising these results.
Cycling Ireland along with the Youth Commission would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding and will be notifying all medal winners from each category when an official awards ceremony will take place.
