Why did you start cycling?
I wanted to get involved in an outdoor sport, and some of my friends did BMX racing so I tried it and loved it.
What has been your involvement in cycling, your story?
I have been riding my bike since as far back as I remember, so I always loved bikes. So after I tried BMX racing I wanted to start racing competitions but all the races were cancelled because of Covid. So I used that time to train for when racing would start again, so when racing started last summer I really loved it and I even won some trophy's.
This year I also started doing DH mountain biking with some of my BMX buddies, and I really really love that as well.
Do you have a quote that you live by or inspires you?
We have a quote on the wall at our club and I really like it "Training is where you earn your trophy's, and races is were you collect them"
What’s been your cycling highlights?
The highlights of the year was coming second in the National champs. Also going to my first UK race in Blackpool.
How do you feel cycling has benefitted you?
Through cycling I have made lots of new friends, I also get to travel around the country for races and hopefully overseas in the future. it's also great for staying fit.
What is your favourite thing about cycling?
Although I love BMX racing, there is so much more to do on a bike, I've just started DH Mountain biking and I love it.
What would you say to other females who may be interested in cycling?
When new girls come to the track I would say start of slowly and have fun and eventually you will get faster and then you will be hooked.
How do you feel about becoming an Advocate?
Happy and exited to help get more girls involved in cycling sports, we need them.
