Road National Series Round Two Preview

After a thrilling opening round of the Road National Series, action continues on Sunday as Round Two brings riders to Co. Cork and Blarney.

The Donal Crowley and Kay Stratton Memorial races, hosted by Blarney Cycling Club, are sure to provide plenty of excitement as riders look to gain crucial Road National Series points.

The races hosted the opening round of the 2023 Road National Series, with Daire Feeley and Aoife O'Brien picking up victories on that occasion.

Feeley also started the series with victory in last month's Des Hanlon Memorial and will be seeking a second victory in a row to put himself in the driving seat heading into May.

In the women's race, Annalise Murphy laid her claim to a Road National Series overall challenge in 2024 as she took the win in a race featuring 2023 overall winner Jemma Speers as well as Aoife and Caoimhe O'Brien.

In the junior rankings, Phillip O'Connor and Kate Murphy currently hold the overall leaders jerseys. With multiple junior riders in action in round one, the fight for the overall lead is sure to be fierce on Sunday.
