Youth and Junior Online Training Programmes



Cycling Ireland are excited to announce the return of online training session for youths and juniors catering for both the beginner and intermediate riders aged 10 – 17 years old.


As well as a weekly live Zoom session (details below) a 6 week training plan will also be provided. The Zoom sessions will be recorded, and a link sent out to everyone by the following morning so you can catch up, if a live session is missed.


Cost:

Free to Cycling Ireland Members

€10 for non-Cycling Ireland members. 


You will need:

A set of rollers/a turbo trainer/indoor bike. You do not need a smart trainer to take part. 

A laptop/enabled desktop/tablet or phone that can access Zoom. You also need to register free for Zoom and download it before the session.


Please note:

A Parent / Guardian 18+ must register each participant.

Children must be supervised at all times during the programme and it is the responsibility of the registering adult. Please ensure that the area that you are using to complete the online sessions is safe and hazard free.

Beginner Boys and Girls 10 – 17 years old


When: Every Monday from 31st January – 7th March 2022

Time: 6pm – 6.50pm 

Where: via Zoom (you will receive the link at 5.00pm on the day of each session)

Who is this suitable for? This programme is suitable for those new or returning to training on a bike. The programme will build your fitness over the 6 weeks.

Intermediate Boys and Girls 10 – 17 years old


When: Every Wednesday from 2nd February – 9th March 2022

Time: 6pm – 6.50pm 

Where: via Zoom (you will receive the link at 5.00pm on the day of each session)

Who is this suitable for? This programme is designed to increase in intensity and volume over the 6 weeks. We recommend a minimum of 6 weeks of low(er) intensity work before this plan.
