New National Record Approved
Cycling Ireland are delighted to confirm the approval of the recent Place to Place record attempt between Derry and Belfast (Men).
The old record had stood for 58 years and was held by Morris Foster Cyprus CC.
The new National Record for Derry – Dublin was set on the 4th September 2022
The record now stands at 05:14:13 secs and was set by:
Dan Morrissey Pactimo
Ronan set the record riding in the direction from Dublin to Derry, and as always with Place to Place records from GPO to GPO.
All relevant paperwork has been submitted by his Commissaire and Timekeeper, to the Technical Working Group and they have confirmed the new record.
