Great Dublin Bike Ride partners with five charities to launch the Great Dublin Charity Bike Ride.

Gather your family and friends to ride 20km, 60km or 100km

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Great Dublin Charity Bike Ride on September 27th, 2020. Due to government restrictions caused by Covid-19, the 2020 event will take place virtually with a 20km family ride, beginner friendly 60km and a more challenging 100km ride to choose from. Select the distance which best suits you and complete the ride in your local area, all for a good cause.

In what has been a continually evolving and challenging time globally, it is more important than ever that we support each other and give back to people in need. We have partnered with five charities for the 2020 Great Dublin Charity Bike Ride and all of the funds raised will be split evenly between the charities - Focus Ireland, Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin, Health Foundation Temple Street, Aware and the Irish Cancer Society.

The event is being run on a non-profit basis so we can come together in support of those in need and promote a healthy, active lifestyle through cycling.

“Our communities are facing unprecedented challenges and although it is not possible for thousands of cyclists to gather together as we have done previously, through the generosity of our athletes and partners, we will ride together to raise vital funds and create a tangible impact. We’re grateful for the work these non-profit organizations are offering to help provide relief in this difficult time.” said Garry Nugent, Cycling Ireland’s Event Officer.

Gather your family and friends to ride a 20km, 60km or 100km distance in your local area. Whether you split the distance or take on the challenge by yourself, get out and #CycleForCharity on Sunday September 27th for an unforgettable day!
