Dublin Track Cycling International Preview
Excitement is building ahead of the Dublin Track Cycling International which takes place this weekend on Saturday and Sunday, May 27th and 28th.
Hosted in Sundrive Velodrome, the UCI Class 2 event is among the Irish track cycling calendar’s flagship events and promises to be a great occasion for riders and spectators in attendance.
The event, supported by Dublin City Sport & Wellbeing Partnership, brings both Ireland’s best domestic track riders and a host of international riders together for a weekend of racing.

Featured Riders
Orla Walsh
Ireland National Team sprinter is among the world's top sprinters and will compete in the sprint and keirin events. The Castleknock native is based outside of Ireland but is hoping for a successful homecoming in Sundrive.
Yacine Chalel
The Algerian endurance rider is one of the high profile international riders competing across the weekend. The current CAC African champion in the points race, Chalel will compete in the Omnium as well as points and elimination races.
Lara Gillespie
One of Ireland's most exciting track athletes, Gillespie will be the one to watch in the women's endurance events throughout the Dublin Track Cycling International due to her exploits with the Irish National Team in 2023.
Emily Kay
Another exciting rider to watch across the weekend is Emily Kay, the Irish National Team rider will compete in the women's endurance events.
Oisin Ferrity
Competing in the Junior Men's elimination and scratch races, Ferrity comes into the Dublin Track Cycling International in fine form after winning all junior men's categories in this month's Junior Track National Championships.
Mikhail Yakovlev
Mikhail Yakovlev is perhaps one of the highest ranked riders competing at the event, and stands in fifth place in the UCI men's sprint rankings. Yakovlev will ride for Israel in the men's sprint and keirin events.
Hamish Turnbull
British sprinter Hamish Turnbull will also compete in the men's sprint and keirin events this weekend. Ranked seventh in the UCI men's spint rankings, Turnbull was part of the Great Britain Team Sprint team that won bronze at the 2022 Track World Championships.
