Cycling Ireland Social Ride With The Irish Team On Zwift 



As the Irish team continue their preparations for the UCI Cycling eSports World Championships taking place on Saturday, February 18th the team are inviting you to take part in a social ride on Zwift this Thursday on one of the same courses that will be used for the Championships. 


The Irish team competing in the eSport World Championships including Chris Dawson, Richard Barry, Linda Kelly, Heather Foley and Imogen Cotter will be joining the Cycling Ireland social ride this week and everyone is welcome to join. 


The social ride will take place at it's usual time of 8pm on Thursday, 16th February. This is not a race, the aim of the group ride is to keep everyone together and have fun while gaining some skills, knowledge and confidence. 


The 2023 UCI Cycling eSports World Championships will consist of three short and explosive events: The Punch, The Climb and The Podium, which will be contested on three separate routes for both men and women.


The social ride will take place on the course that will be used for the first event of the Championships - The Punch 


Titled the "Rolling Highlands", this rolling figure-8 route including the lead-in totals 14.1km featuring 105m of elevation gain.
