Cycling Ireland seeks expressions of interest for
coaches, selectors and other volunteer and day-rate personnel

For many years the efficient functioning of Cycling Ireland as a Federation has relied on the dedicated efforts and commitment of volunteers, fulfilling the roles of coach, team manager, team selector, board and committee members, mechanic etc.

More recently, a combination of paid staff, day rate/part-time contractors and volunteers have worked in unison to maximise what can be achieved by a small island in cycling circles on the European and World stage. Though this has evolved with and across the Federation, it’s provinces and commissions, it if often not clear to the wider membership community how those particularly in the part-time/day rate and volunteer roles are selected, engaged and remunerated/compensated. A common query is: how do I get involved?

In the interests of transparency, and to ensure CI draws on all resources that may be available in an effective and efficient way for the betterment of the sport – we are now asking for any suitably experienced/qualified members across the cycling community to express their interest in being involved in the future development and delivery of cycling in Ireland.

This request relates to part-time contractors/day-rate contractors and volunteers –any permanent and/or full-time staff roles within CI will follow a dedicated HR/recruitment process separate to this exercise.

To express your interest – please complete the following: https://forms.office.com/r/RVnyFJk9A2

Closing date: Friday Feb 4th

All volunteers and contractors engaged through this process will be formally appointed and will be expected to comply with Cycling Ireland policies and regulations.

Any queries regarding this process can be directed to contactus@cyclingireland.ie  - we look forward to receiving expressions of interest from throughout the cycling community.
