Cycling Ireland partners with Innovative Cycling Tech & Data company See.Sense

Cycling Ireland and See.Sense have announced a multi-year partnership that will enhance the experience and safety of members of the cycling community and deliver exclusive benefits to Cycling Ireland members. As part of the agreement, See.Sense becomes the Official Bicycle Light Supplier, and Ride Insights Supplier, to Cycling Ireland.

The innovative bike lights, produced by Northern Ireland company See.Sense, shine powerfully both in daylight and at night-time: react to riskier moments such as junctions and roundabouts, by automatically flashing stronger and faster; and adjust brightness levels in clearer or lighter conditions to conserve battery and keep cyclists brighter, for longer. The See.Sense mobile app also lets cyclists customise their lights, receive low-battery, crash and theft alerts, as well as their ride stats.

See.Sense lights don’t just make a cyclist safer on the road though. They allow your voice to be heard. When cycling with a See.Sense bike light (either the See.Sense ICON 2, See.Sense ICON or the See.Sense ACE), the patented sensor technology within the light monitors the experience of the cyclist.

Through this new partnership, Cycling Ireland will gain access to the aggregated insights of cyclists who have opted-in to share their ride insights via the See.Sense app. This will give Cycling Ireland access to never before seen insights on how and where all types of people ride.

Cycling Ireland and See.Sense will work collaboratively to share aggregated information on popular ride routes and cycling habits as the partnership develops, ultimately leading to a better experience for members of the cycling community.

Members of Cycling Ireland will benefit from a 30% Discount off See.Sense lights, allowing you to ride your bike and be seen, share ride insights and be heard. A unique discount code will be emailed to members.

Matt McKerrow, CEO at Cycling Ireland, said: “I’m really excited to announce this partnership with such an innovative cycling company. See.Sense share a vision with us to see more people cycling more often, and the partnership will not only provide a safety benefit for our members but will help us to further understand them and their cycling patterns so we can better respond to their needs”.

Philip McAleese, CEO at See.Sense, added: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Cycling Ireland on this initiative to help better understand cycling in Ireland. As a local company that designs and manufactures our products right here in County Down, we are excited to see the data insights be used to help get more people cycling right across the Island”.
