Cycling Ireland National Road Commissaire Upgrade Course
Cycling Ireland College of Commissaires organised a Road Commissaire Upgrade exam, taking place on the 27th and 28th January in Ashbourne. 15 Grade B commissaires attended, representing all four provinces. The attendees were under the instruction of UCI International Commissaire and Tutor Paul Watson and Elite National Commissaire John Breen.
Candidates had to work through Commissaire assignments for before, during and after events, after which they sat both a written and an oral exam. Following this, successful candidates will be assessed on a National Event in Ireland under the supervision of a UCI International or ENC National Commissaire before achieving their Grade A Status.
