Cycling Ireland Event Promoter Training

Cycling Ireland will host a series of event promoter training sessions in the coming weeks to help promoters enhance both the safety and quality of future events.

Part of Cycling Ireland's strategy for 2023, event promoters are invited to take part in sessions across all four provinces in the coming weeks.

The classroom style learning sessions will outline the need for change to the current process of planning an event.

The training will provide promoters with a system of how to plan for an event and making it scalable for the level of event they are delivering, such as club, regional and national events.

Key areas covered include legal requirements, policy and what submission means for promoters, what is needed in a plan and why, as well as the laws, regulations and restrictions for planning an event on a public road.

It is intended that one representative from each club attend the training. Promoters can contact Cycling Ireland events co-ordinator Chris White at chris.white@cyclingireland.ie for more information.
