Women In Cycling Statistics
No matter your age and experience, there is a cycling event for every woman and girl interested in getting involved. With events taking place across all disciplines there really is something for everyone.
Helen Kerrane, Cycling Ireland Women In Sport Lead, said:
"Women in Sport Week provides another great opportunity to showcase what cycling can offer for women and girls of all ages, with a multitude of disciplines and events taking place across the length and breadth of the country throughout the year there really is something for everyone.
“We are delighted to be involved and have a number of events specifically for women taking place throughout the week.
“As the old adage goes, 'You never forget how to ride a bike'. Cycling can take up as much or as little space if your life as you choose, it's always there even if you haven't ridden a bike in a couple of years - or more!
“Whether you're looking for a way to get into work on time, avoiding the rush to get a parking space or to stay fit, cycling offers a sustainable and accessible option."
