Coaching Females in Cycling Webinar 


As part of Women in Sport week, Cycling Ireland are launching a webinar series aimed at coaches who coach females on Tuesday, 6th March from 7.30 - 9pm. 


The series will kick off with a general overview of coaching females with the curious webinar title of “It’s not about the nail!”. The series will expand and delve into more focused webinars such as coaching teenage girls, coaching women going through menopause etc. The series will be developed from feedback received from coaches' needs and wants. 


“It’s not about the nail!” 

The webinar will be held on Tuesday 6th March from 7.30pm – 8.30pm with 8.30pm – 9pm dedicated to Q&A and information gathering as to what the coaches need and want in this space going forward.

The difference between coaching females and males

Using a person-centred approach to coaching females

Coaching styles

Coach - rider relationship


The webinar will be delivered by Cycling Ireland coach Jonathan Gibson and Women in Sport Officer Elaine Cahill and will be free to attend to Cycling Ireland members thanks to Women in Sport funding. 


The webinar is aimed at coaches of females, from young girls to the older adult. There will be something there for every coach and coaches in attendance will help shape future webinars within this series.
