Barry Scott appointed Ulster Youth Development Officer 


Cycling Ireland are delighted to announce the appointment of Barry Scott as our new Ulster Youth Development Officer. 


As the province’s Youth Development Officer, Scott will work as part of our development team that also includes Ulster Club Development Officer Gary Lavery, Get Ireland Cycling Officer Paul Norton as well as Connacht Youth Development Officer Daire Feeley.  


The role is funded by The Rank Foundation and will enable Cycling Ireland to work closer with local councils and communities in Ulster in the development of infrastructure and programmes to improve youth participation in cycling. 


Scott brings a wealth of experience in development to the role and has over six years of experience working as a development officer with Cricket Ireland, Northwest Cricket Union (NCU), Malahide Cricket Club and in New Zealand with Taranaki Cricket Association.   


The Derry native also holds an honours BSc degree in Sport and Performance Coaching and has held the role of performance and development coach with Cricket Ireland and NCU.
