Athlete Development Pathway - Call For Expressions Of Interest

Cycling Ireland in part fulfilment of its Strategic Plan 2020-2024, has published a call for Expressions of Interest with the aim of establishing a list of interested parties to feed into and make decisions regarding a new athlete development pathway.

To ensure Cycling Ireland has the necessary talent to deliver world-class performances on the international stage, we must create the structures and systems that will enable us to progress our high performance rider development at each stage of the development pathway. To achieve this, Cycling Ireland is keen to harness views from a diverse range of parties, including but not exclusively; females, athletes, coaches, administrators, club officials in all disciplines, and from both participation and performance areas.

An alignment with the various disciplines within the rider development pathway and the Cycling Ireland High Performance Unit will be integral to the development and the eventual deployment of a new and successful Cycling Ireland Pathway. A pathway that will serve as a guide to all individuals, coaches, athletes and parents to better understand the athlete requirements at any given stage and the various transitions that occur throughout the pathway.

Objective:

The purpose of this call is to provide Cycling Ireland with a list of interested parties who may be invited to input to a future athlete pathway and to make informed decisions on the direction of that pathway.

Expressions of interest should be completed here before the 11th July 2021. For further information or guidance please email pathway@cyclingireland.ie
