2024 UEC Track European Championships Expression Of Interest

Expressions of interest are now open to represent Ireland for the 2024 European Track Championships in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, January 10-14th.

The event marks a return to Apeldoorn, which last held the Championships in 2019. Last year’s event was held in Grenchen, Switzerland, and saw a best result for the Irish National Team of 5th in the Women’s Team Pursuit.

The Cycling Ireland National Team Selection Policy is available in the High Performance section of our website here. Guidance Notes for the championships are available here.

Performance Director Iain Dyer said

"Apeldoorn is a huge venue, and an enthusiastic crowd always provides an enjoyable atmosphere for the riders. We’ve had a good season in 2023 building towards Olympic qualification with the women’s endurance squad and this European Championships is part of the final run in, so we are looking to maintain that momentum during the remaining events. We are now very much focused on using our remaining events to hone our performances ahead of Paris."

Candidate athletes have until 5pm on Thursday, 30th November, to submit their expressions of interest. All submissions of interest should be submitted to HPAdmin@cyclingireland.ie.
