2024 Road National Series Update

Cycling Ireland is pleased to announce the inclusion of the Mullingar Grand Prix as Round 5 of the 2024 Road National Series. Hosted by Lakeside Wheelers, event will take place on Sunday, 7th of July.

The addition of the Mullingar Grand Prix brings the total number of rounds in the series up to six. Mullingar GP will be pushed forward by one week from their traditional date, in order to avoid clashes with the Junior Tour of Ireland.

The series begins in Carlow with the Des Hanlon Memorial on Sunday, 24th of March. Entries for Round 1 will open on Friday, 1st of March.

Speaking about the inclusion of the Mullingar Grand Prix in the 2024 Road National Series, race organiser Shay O’Toole said:

"The organisers of the 2024 Mullingar Grand Prix, which will be promoted by Lakeside Wheelers, on July 7th are delighted that once again, it will be included in the Cycling Ireland Road National Series. The race will bring the focus of Irish racing back to the roads around Multyfarnham where the club staged the Elite National Championships in 2014."
