Rider Rankings Criteria
RIDER RANKINGS
Each year, a 'league table' of riders who are competing in open road races is maintained and compiled by Cycling Ireland. Within each category (A1, A2, A3, A4 & JR) there is a league table and once you obtain a certain number of points in open road racing, you will be upgraded to the next category.
The points requirements to be upgraded to a higher category are as follows:
A4: 13 points
A3: 15 points
A2: 20 points

JR (A3) to JR (A2) = 90 points for first year Juniors and 60 points for second year Juniors
JR (A4) to JR (A3) = 13 points
