Cycling Ireland are inviting expressions of interest for athletes to be included in a longlist for selection at the 2023 European Games this summer

The Cycling Ireland BMX National Series concluded on Sunday 2nd October, with Courtown BMX Club hosting the tenth and final round of the season.

Rounds 7 and 8 of the Cycling Ireland BMX National Series took place in Cork over the weekend of the 17th and 18th September. Cork BMX Club were the welcoming hosts and over 100 riders of all ages took part over the course of the weekend.

Cycling Ireland invites riders born in 2005 and 2007 to apply to be part of the 2023 Junior Athlete Development Programme. Now in its third year, the programme is an evidence-based framework delivered by Cycling Ireland’s High Performance coaches and performance experts from multiple disciplines.

The National BMX Series reached the halfway point for the season with Round 5 taking place at Lucan BMX Club on Saturday 16th July.

Nine Irish riders will travel to the UEC BMX Racing European Championships which takes place in Dessel, Belgium from 8th - 10th July.
