Youth Tour of Scotland - Rider Expression of Interest 2022

The Youth Tour of Scotland (YTOS) is a residential stage race, taking place in the beautiful Perthshire countryside 1-4th April 2022.  This four-day event welcomes youth teams from across the UK and further afield to compete across five stages to gain the top position and sought-after jerseys in general classification, points, king and queen of the mountains, team and Scottish rider competitions.

Cycling Ireland under 16 boys, and under u16 + u14 combined girls, will have the opportunity to participate via a Cycling Ireland boys and girls team of 4 riders, plus non travelling reserve.

Cycling Ireland are in the process of recruiting staff to support the teams.

Selection will be based on Cycling Ireland 2021 National Road Race Championship results, alongside a rider matrix, with 2022 U16 riders having priority over 2022 U15. Please add all supporting results and performances from 2021 to Question 8.

Standard Cycling Ireland appeals process will be in place.

Please note that future events are planned for youths in 2022, and full criteria will be posted in advance. This event is unique in that entries must be submitted very early in the year, prior to any road racing in the 2022 season, hence the need to look at 2021 performance.

Closing date for expressions of interest is 21st January 2022.
