Cycling Ireland launch 6-week training plan as part of Bike Like Me Women’s Campaign

2020 National Champion Eve McCrystal to lead Women’s Training Programme



 

As part of the Bike Like Me campaign Cycling Ireland is excited to offer a 6 week Online Training Programme for intermediate level female cyclists. The programme has been designed by Neill Delahaye - Cycling Ireland’s National Performance Coach.

 

The women’s participation programme is free to Cycling Ireland Members. A fee of €10 applies to non-members.

 

The 6-week Online Training Programme will take place each Monday from 2nd November to the 7th December at 7-8pm. One of Ireland’s top female cyclists Eve McCrystal will be there to encourage and motivate you during each session.

The Monday evening sessions have been integrated into a structured 6-week programme on TrainingPeaks, designed to re-establishing a solid routine for the off-season and building up Aerobic base fitness as part of a structured and balanced programme.

 

What do I need?

 

You will need a set of rollers or a turbo trainer. You do not need a smart trainer to take part. You will also need a laptop/webcam enabled desktop/tablet or phone that you can access the online platform.

 

 

Can I sign up to the plan on TrainingPeaks and do the programme over the 6 weeks?

 

Yes you can! A plan has been developed that goes with the Monday sessions and runs over the duration of the 6 weeks.
