Women’s Track Training Alkmaar Trip 2023 




The Cycling Ireland Women's Commission are organising a track training weekend to Alkmaar, The Netherlands, for the weekend of February 18th to 20th.  


The trip is suited to all riders from masters, seniors and juniors, whether you want to give riding on an indoor velodrome a go for the first time or are a seasoned track rider, you’re encouraged to join the trip. 


The trip will include seven hours of training and coaching in the velodrome, two nights in a hotel with breakfast included and transfers to and from Amsterdam airport. Flights are not included in the price and must be booked independently. 


Those interested should hold a valid Cycling Ireland license, junior places are subject to safeguarding quotas and final numbers of places will be confirmed by the commission in due course.  


The current estimated cost of the trip is €250, the Women’s Commission will subsidise the track time and coaching and the final price will be communicated when places and numbers are confirmed.

Included 


2 nights in a shared twin room (additional cost for own room) with breakfast. 

Bus Transfers to and from airport. 

Track Hire (7 hours in total)

Training Times 


Saturday, February 18th -  17:00-19:00  

Sunday, February 19th - 12:00-15:00  

Monday, February 20th  11:00-13:00  


Bikes 


You can bring your own bike if preferred, this will need to be booked in by you onto your flight independently. Bikes can be dropped off at the track when we arrive.  


Bike hire at the velodrome will be available for a small fee.  


Payment 


The price of the trip must be paid by Friday, January 27th. Transfers are arranged for the flight times detailed, if you select a different flight, a self-transfer may be required. There is no cancellation policy on hotel accommodation due to short turnaround of booking. 


The deadline to express your interest in the trip is January 25th.
