UCI points are on offer this weekend, as UCI C2 Cyclocross racing comes to Clonmel.
For the
fourth year, the event heads to Tipperary and Powerstown Park Racecourse.
Saturday, October 12th will see youth and support races, with M40,
M50, M60, Junior and Elite races all taking place on Sunday, October 13th.
The chance
for coveted UCI points will see riders from Britain, France, and the United
States line up alongside some of the top domestic riders, in what is sure to be
a fantastic weekend of racing.
Racing on Saturday
gets underway at 10.30am with the U6 race, with the final race set to begin at
15.50. Sunday’s racing is due to start at 9am with the M50 and M60 class,
followed by the M40 race at 10.30. The Junior Men’s race is set to start at 12.10.
A combined field featuring the Women’s Junior and Elite classes will start
racing at 13.40, with racing being rounded out with the Elite Men’s race at
15.20.
Joint hosts
Clonmel Cycling Club and Slievenamon Cycling Club have put together a 3km
course, with a slight change from last year’s course. The course map is
