The High Performance Unit at Cycling Ireland are recruiting for a new Team Operations Manager
The role of a Team Ops Manager is pivotal in helping the team achieve it’s performance objectives throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Cycle in a variety of disciplines.
The HPU are in the midst of saying ‘goodbye’ to Jon Pett the current Team Ops Manager, who joined us in an interim role last summer. Iain Dyer takes up the story:
“As any high performance team will know, moving people around the World to compete and train is a very demanding aspect of team operations. It was increasingly apparent that to attain the professional delivery of logistics and team management we aspired to we needed an expert individual to get us to the start line.”
I’ll make no secret of the fact that we poached Jon between roles. Having worked together in the past, I knew Jon would enable us to get this role off the ground, establish best practice and set us up well for the future. We were lucky to have Jon for a few months more than we had initially hoped for and now Jon is leaving to a new position in the UK he has done a great job for us, and we wish him all the best for the future.”
A new recruit to this post will inherit a good system and enjoy close working relationships with a committed staff of nine others in the HPU.
“We are particularly keen to hear from individuals with a strong background in planning and logistics that ideally have experience working in elite sport or other high performance environments with team management experience on events.”
Further details on the role are available HERE and the closing date is close of business Monday 9th June.
