Team Announced Ahead of Junior and Under 23 European Track Championships


Cycling Ireland is delighted to announce a team of seven athletes selected to represent Ireland at the upcoming Junior and Under 23 European Track Championships. 


The championships take place from Tuesday, 9th of July, to Sunday, 14th of July, in Cottbus, Germany. 


Three Junior Women and three Junior Men will compete in the endurance events respectively. Erin Creighton will be Ireland’s sole representative in the Under 23 Women’s endurance events.


Junior Women:

Rhiannon Dolan

Mya Doocey

Lucy Benezet Minns


Junior Men:

Seth Dunwoody

Luca Holmes

Philip O’Connor


Under 23 Women:

Erin Creighton

 

Speaking about the team, Cycling Ireland High Performance Director Iain Dyer said:

“It’s great to see such a strong team assembled for both male and female endurance events. I am sure they will grasp this opportunity with both hands, and I hope it will inspire them to keep forging a path in their track racing careers. 

“At only 20 years old, but already with senior championship experience to call upon, Erin is now the ‘oldest’ in the group, but I’m certain the younger riders will be able to benefit from her experience.”
