Performance Pathway Educational Workshops
As part of our continued commitment to supporting excellence in talent development, we are pleased to announce a series of Performance Pathway Educational Workshops, open to coaches, parents, provincial leads, commissions, and anyone involved in athlete development.
These sessions will be delivered online and free of charge, but registration via Eventmaster is essential. The workshops will be led by Dr. Áine MacNamara, Associate Professor in Elite Performance at Dublin City University and Chair of the Professional Doctorate in Elite Performance (Sport). With extensive experience in physical education, youth coaching, and talent development, Dr. MacNamara brings a wealth of expertise from her work with national sporting bodies in both the UK and Ireland.
The series will kick off at 7:00 PM on April 23rd with “Understanding Talent Development – Long-Term Athlete Development Models (LTAD)”.
This will be followed by “Psychosocial Factors in Pathways: The Impact of Stress, Pressure & Transitions on Athletes, Coaches, and Parents” on May 21st, and “Coaching for Talent Development vs. Talent Identification” on June 23rd.
These workshops are designed to spark discussion, share research-informed practices, and provide practical guidance to those shaping the next generation of high-performance athletes.
