National Disability in Sport Week
Cycling Ireland is proud to support Sport Ireland National Disability in Sport Week.
Running from Monday, 1st of December until Sunday, 7th of December 2025, the theme of the campaign is “Celebrating Ability” / “Ag Ceiliúradh Cumas”.
Cycling Ireland not only supports para-athletes through the Para-cycling High Performance Programme and the Para-cycling Development Programme but also promotes inclusion and provides opportunities through Coaching and Education, and Participation.
Cycle Right, the national standard for cycle training, which is produced and facilitated by Cycling Ireland, reaches approximately 43,000 primary school children in Ireland each year, including those with additional needs.
The Cycling Ireland Para-cycling High Performance and Development Programmes continue to grow, providing more para-athletes with the opportunity to become involved.
2025 saw the expansion of the Adaptive MTB project, with monthly beginner and intermediate sessions taking place in Kinnity as part of a pilot programme with Coillte. Kinnity also played host to Ireland’s first Adaptive MTB race in April.
