Masters Road Race and Time Trial National Championships Preview

Castlebar CC will this week play host to the Masters Road National Championships.

Castlebar Cycling Club PRO John Lawless said:

"Castlebar Cycling Club are delighted to be hosting this year's Cycling Ireland Masters Road Race and Time Trial National Championships on the weekend of the 14th and 15th of September. Following on from a very successful running of the Masters' Nationals in 2020, we look forward to welcoming back riders from all across the country to what promises to be a great weekend of racing.

The Time Trial will take place on a relatively flat (with some minor drags) 30km circuit on the hard shoulder of the main N5 (Dublin Road) - while a challenging and rolling route awaits riders across all 4 Road Races, which should lend itself to aggressive racing with plenty of opportunities for all racing strengths"

Race HQ will be at An Sportlann, McHale Rd, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, F23 X651.

Time Trial events will take place on Saturday 14th of September, with Road Races taking place on Sunday 15th of September.

The Time Trial course is 30km in length will see the first rider set off at 10.30am. The Strava route is available here.
