Six riders to represent Ireland at the 2021 UCI Track Cycling Nations Cup in St Petersburg, Russia, from 8 - 11th July.




JP Murphy, Lara Gillespie, Mia Griffin, Kelly Murphy, Alice Sharpe and Orla Walsh will represent Ireland at the second round of the 2021 UCI Track Cycling Nations Cup.


Irish Record holders Gillespie, Griffin, Murphy and Sharpe will ride the Women’s Team Pursuit in St Petersburg. JB Murphy will compete in the men’s endurance events while Orla Walsh will compete in the women’s sprint events having met required timed standards in recent months at the UCI World Cycling centre. 

The events hold significance as Ireland’s participation and performances in Russia contribute to qualification for the upcoming 2021 Track Cycling World Championship. Several Team Ireland riders are unavailable for selection due to their participation at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
