Cycling Ireland is Hiring a Soigneur
This is a part- time, flexible engagement aligned to the needs of Cycling Ireland’s High Performance programme.
Cycling Ireland is looking to recruit an additional female soigneur to work alongside our existing support team. The role would include soft tissue therapy, liaising with hotels/accommodation, prepping ride food, laundry runs, pastoral care and other tasks vital to the performance of our National Cycling Teams. Existing soigneurs come from a variety of backgrounds, such as physios, sports rehab specialists, and ex-riders but all share a passion for helping Irish riders to excel at the highest levels.
Cycling Ireland currently operates with a small number of experienced Soigneurs and is seeking to expand its support pool, ensuring continuity and depth of expertise across programmes. Based on current planning, the role is expected to involve approximately 15–20 days across the year, primarily linked to training camps and competition schedules, with many likely to be overseas. Days may vary depending on programme requirements and the availability of existing support staff. As such, there may be potential for increased involvement over time, depending on individual availability, experience, and programme needs.
The compliant form of engagement will be agreed with the successful candidate. While it is envisaged that this role may suit individuals operating on a self-employed basis, Cycling Ireland recognises that candidates may be structured in different ways (e.g. sole trader, limited company, or employee arrangements).
Cycling Ireland welcomes expressions of interest from female candidates both within and outside Ireland, and will work with the successful individual to establish a suitable and compliant working arrangement.
