Excitement Builds Ahead of the 2025 Junior Tour of Ireland

With the 2025 Junior Tour of Ireland fast approaching, anticipation is growing among riders, coaches, and supporters alike. As one of the key events on the junior cycling calendar, the race set to begin on Monday, July 8th, offers a fantastic opportunity for Ireland’s emerging talent to showcase their development and competitiveness on home roads.

At Cycling Ireland, preparations are well underway. Our High Performance Pathway team is closely monitoring the form and progress of our junior male riders, with recent race performances giving us plenty of reasons to be optimistic. There's still more racing on the calendar before the Tour, and we’re watching closely as riders continue to push themselves in pursuit of selection.

“We’re really excited about the depth of talent we’re seeing this season,” said Michael Black, HP Pathway Lead. “The selection process is never easy, and this year is no different, with a strong group of juniors all hitting form at the right time. We’re continuing to track performances closely, and we expect to finalise our selection around the 13th of June.”

The Junior Tour is a vital stepping stone for Ireland’s future elite cyclists. As always, it promises to be a fiercely competitive and inspiring event. We look forward to supporting our selected riders as they take on this prestigious challenge.
