Attention: Cycling Ireland Third Level Education Students

Cycling Ireland, with the support of the Road Commission and Off-road Commission, are interested in sending both Men's and Women's teams to the European Universities Cycling Championships, Netherlands, June 2021 (https://cycling2021.eusa.eu/competition/competition-programme). If you are a third-level education student (University, Technological University, Institute of Technology or Other Higher Education Institute) and interested in participating in the EUSA cycling Road Race, Time Trial and/or MTB XC events, please email contactus@cyclingireland.ie before Wednesday, 03 February, at 17:00, with your expression of interest. Please make sure to state which disciplines you would be interested in racing. Before putting forward your name you will need to have approval from the Sports Officer of your Higher Education Institute, that if selected you will be permitted to travel to the Netherlands in June 2021. Please send on an approval letter with your expression of interest

There are a maximum of 6 spaces available per discipline. Cycling Ireland’s final decision on sending teams to the European Universities Cycling Championships will be dependent on the number of expressions of interest received for the various disciplines, cyclists meeting the selection and minimum performance criteria that will be outlined by the Road Commission and Off-road Commission, along with being in line with Government COVID-19 and other relevant restrictions at the time.
