ESports Winter Series Round 4 Results
The fourth round of this year’s eSports Winter Series saw riders take on an individual time trial over 18.7km in Watopia last Friday, November 22nd.
Ian Inglis from Kinning Cycles CC took the win in Category 1 with a time of 00:24:11, leaving him sitting fourth in the overall General Classification standings. Colin Clavin from Streamstown CC, second on Friday with a time of 25 minutes flat still leads the overall standings, followed by St. Tiernans Conor McCarthy in second and host club Racing Without Borders’ James Latimer in third.
Galway Bay’s Verlio Di Baccio took the win in Category 2, but still sits in 18th overall. Category 2 is currently led by Declan Smyth from Four Masters CC. Esker Cycling & Touring Club rider David Marshall, second on Friday also sits second in the standings, with Mark Cannon currently third.
North Dwon CC rider Alyson Lowry took the win in Category 3, and remains top of the standings. Velo Café Magasin’s Conor Preshaw sits second with Joe Mullins from Kilbehenny Cycling Club in third.

The Points Competition for this year’s series remains tight at the top of Category 1, with Colin Clavin leading on 100 points. Just two points separate Ian Inglis and Conor McCarthy in second and third respectively.
Laois CC’s Ross Byrne currently sits at the top of the Category 2 points standings, trailed by David Marshall and Team WORC’s Paul Caldwell.
Alyson Lowry leads out the Category 3 points competition by 19 points. Conor Preshaw sits in second ahead of Crossgar Cycling Club’s Stevie Stranney in third.

This Friday, 29th of November sees riders take on the hotly anticipated Castle Crit criterium. Riders will race a total of six laps on the 3.5km course, making it a 22.5km race total.
