ESports Round 3 Results
Round 3 of the Cycling Ireland eSports Winter Series took place last Friday, 15th of November.
Friday’s race saw the first real climbing of this year’s series, as riders took on Watopia’s Coastal Crown Loop. The course featured 265 metres of climbing over the 23.7km route.
The third round of the series also did not contribute to overall General Classification standings, but did count towards the Points Competition.
Colm Clavin from Streamstown CC currently sits atop the first category in points, having finished on the podium in each round so far. St. Tiernan’s Conor McCarthy sits second just one point behind, while host club rider, James Latimer from Racing Without Borders sits third. Round 3 race winner Ian Inglis from Kinning Cycles Cycling Club sits fourth, tied on points with Latimer in third.
Laois CC rider Ross Byrne is top of Category 2, ahead of Team WORC rider Paul Caldwell and North Argyll CC’s Aaron Johnson in second and third respectively.
Category 3 is currently topped by Alyson Lowry from North Down CC. Velo Café Magasin rider Conor Preshaw sits in second, with Martin Murphy from Youghal Cycling Club in third.

The series continues this Friday, 22nd of November at 7.05pm with an Individual Time-Trial on the 18.7km Going Coastal route in Watopia.
