ESports Winter Series Round 2 Results
The Cycling Ireland eSports Winter Series continued last Friday, 8th of November with Round 2.
The 36km Triple Flat Loops in Watopia was the stage for what
has quickly become a very competitive series across all three categories.
St. Tiernan’s CC rider Conor McCarthy stayed top of the General
Classification standings in the top category, finishing 22 seconds ahead of Streamstown
Cycling Club’s Colin Clavin, as host club Racing Without Border’s James Latimer
came in third just two seconds later.
In Category 2 Team WORC’s Paul Caldwell sits top, with Ross
Byrne from Laois CC just three seconds down in second place, and Dáire McNab very
close in third.
Bohermeen CC rider Gerard Coffey took the win in Category 3,
ahead of Conor Preshaw from Velo Café Magasin and Martin Murphy from Youghal
Cycling Club in second and third respectively.

Looking ahead to Round 3 this Friday evening, riders will
face the first major climbs in this year’s series. The Coastal Crown Loop in
Watopia will see riders climb 265m over the 23.7km course. Racing gets underway
at 19.05 again this Friday, 15th of November.
