Points and Scoring:

There are two scoring options, there will be a General Classification (GC) and a Points based league. There are seven mandatory races that will accumulate time, the riders with the lowest accumulated time will be deemed the GC winners.

For the Points based race, finishing points will be awarded on each athlete’s finishing position, the riders with the most points will be deemed the winners in their respective categories. Each athlete’s best eight from ten rounds will count towards their points tally.

The Cycling Ireland Esports series is dependent on Zwift Power monitoring and its statistical service. This also means that if you get upgraded by Zwift Power during the league, you will be upgraded in the points system, and you will start with 50% of your existing points in a higher Category.

If you are close to the Category limit, and you are not a very experienced Zwifter or long-time rider familiar with your power output, we recommend choosing a higher category. In this way, you avoid being moved to a higher Category and starting with 50% of your existing points.
