Inaugural Cycling Ireland eRacing National Championships Planned for January 15th
Qualification event to take place on December 18th
Cycling Ireland has today confirmed that the inaugural Cycling Ireland eRacing National Championships will take place on Saturday, 15th January.
The top 10 male and female riders from the qualification event will be invited to participate in Ireland’s first eRacing National Championships, taking place in-person in Dublin, Ireland.
Finalists will race using the full Wahoo ecosystem including a KICKR Smart Turbo Trainer, KICKR Climb and KICK Headwind. The in-person Championship event will be live broadcast with full details to be published shortly.
The qualification event takes place at 10am on Saturday, December 18th over 1-lap of the Watopia Figure 8 course, a total distance of 29.8 kilometres. Men and Women will start separately at an interval of 1-minute.
The qualification event is open to all however to qualify for the Championship event competitors will need to satisfy the criteria set out within the Technical Guide. These include:
- 2021 or 2022 Cycling Ireland Member
- Dual Power Recording
- Weight and height verification
- Public Strava Profile Link
- .fit files for best outdoor 5min & 20min effort
Please read the Technical Guide carefully and submit details in advance to avoid ineligibility for the Championship event.
