Cycling Ireland is seeking to hire a High Performance Pathway Lead

Cycling Ireland is recruiting now for a new HP Pathway Lead. Current Lead Michael Black has been with Cycling Ireland for over 2 years now, starting as HP Pathway Coach and progressing Pathway Lead where he has made a strong impact developing the Performance Pathway Programme and a new HP Pathway Strategy launched earlier this year: CIHighPerformancePathwayStrategy2025-28.pdf

Michael is moving onto a role with another NGB and will be leaving Cycling Ireland this Summer.

High Performance Director Iain Dyer noted “We have benefited from a strong development in HP Pathway delivery under Michael’s guidance with a fresh strategy for 2025-28, a refocussed Performance Pathway Programme and strong stakeholder education. We are really keen to continue in this vein and can also look forward to the new National Indoor Velodrome in the next two years which will further help us develop our delivery to a growing number of HP Pathway athletes.
In our main HPU strategy, we’ve identified how critical the HP Pathway is to meeting our future ambitions, so we’re excited to see how much we can develop the pathway in the coming years, and the new post holder will be a critical lead in that process. We’d like to wish Michael the very best of luck in his new role.”
