Cycle Right Trainers Course Gets Underway
The first weekend of the Cycle Right trainers course began in Celbridge, Co. Kildare on the 8th and 9th of March.
With 12 very enthusiastic soon to be trainers enrolled on the course it made for a great weekend of learning.
On day one participants were introduced to one another and were given a brief overview of some of the groundwork involved in the programme. Following this participants got to experience the yard sessions of the programme learning the ins and outs of the programme. The day concluded with a recap on the days learnings.
Day two saw participants practice their delivery of the sessions, gaining valuable feedback as to how they could further improve on their delivery of the programme. The day was then ended with a recap and participants were given some tasks to work on for the third practical day which will be happening soon.
With participants soon to engage in another practical learning day, an Active Disabilities Ireland training course, as well as continued online training, the course provides a stable base for trainers.
Keep an eye on the Cycling Ireland and Cycle Right websites and social media channels for upcoming course dates, and find out how you can become a Cycle Right trainer.
