Cross Country Short Track Demonstration Event at the 2026 XC National Championships
A Demonstration Short Course race will take place at this year’s XC National Championships in Carey’s Castle, Co. Waterford.
While XCO Championship racing will take place on Sunday, July 19th, a short course event (XCC) will take place on Saturday, July 18th.
There will be both men’s and women’s racing, with registration open to Senior riders. Both fields will be limited to 30 riders only.
Even though this is a demonstration event to show the interest in continuing this championship in future years, Cycling Ireland has received approval to award UCI Points for this demonstration. Being a demonstration event however, no National Championship jerseys will be presented, and only demonstration medals.
