Due to UCI International Commissaires Gary McIlroy and Paul Watson taking up other roles within Cycling Ireland they have had to relinquish their membership of the College of Commissaires, in accordance with the Memos and Articles.

Gary was recently appointed to the Board whilst Paul has taken a much needed part-time role as Sports Operations and Technical Consultant. Gary had been secretary of the College for many years whilst Paul, who was initially involved in setting up the College some 20+ years ago had been chairman for many years.

Oliver McKenna another long standing member decided with the change at the top it was time to also move on and he has resigned. The commitment all three people gave to the College is acknowledged and they will be a big loss but the expertise of Gary and Paul will not be lost from the organisation as they will prove valuable additions to the Federation in their new roles.

John Breen who had been on the College has stepped up as Chairman whilst Aaron Wallace has taken on the Secretary’s role and Laura Wilson has filled the slot vacated by Oliver. Jack Watson remains as Treasurer.

The other members of the College are the Commissaire - Coordinators from the four Provinces, these are Munster- Brian Jordan, Connacht-Loch Miwa, Ulster- Jim Kelly and Leinster-Pat Moss.

It is planned to have an online meeting of all commissaires before the season is too far advanced and there is the possibility of a repeat of the very successful Commissaires' Seminar which was held a few years ago towards the end of 2022 start of 2023.
