Bike Week Events 2026

Cycling Ireland is proud to help facilitate almost 90 Bike Week specific events.

Bike Week takes place from May 9th to 17th and is presented in association with the Department of Transport and Transport for Ireland, and this year features events in every discipline and every province across the island of Ireland. Whether you want to learn bike maintenance skills, dip your toe into off road or track riding, or even just get out for a social spin, there’s an event for you.

Speaking about the initiative, Cycling Ireland Participation Manager Paul Norton said:

"Bike Week 2026 is shaping up to be one of the busiest to date, with over 80 events scheduled between the 9th and 17th May. With funding from the NTA, Cycling Ireland clubs and Cycle Right providers are hosting a variety of events aimed at promoting cycling and increasing participation among their clubs and communities. Events such as Couch to 50km programmes, open club spins, mountain bike skills, women's only events, maintenance classes and fun events aimed at children and families. We'd like to acknowledge and thank all of our clubs and members who have engaged with us and wish them a very successful Bike Week 2026."
