Aaron Buggle appointed Interim High-Performance Manager
Cycling Ireland is pleased to announce Aaron Buggle has been appointed Interim High-Performance Manager for a 4-month period to October 2021. Aaron is a former professional cyclist with experience in various areas of sport science including athlete development and coaching, along with management experience in various other roles.
Aaron, as Interim High-Performance Manager, will focus on planning, systems, and structures related to the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games cycle. Development and delivery of high-performance athlete pathways, as outlined within the Strategic Plan, are a central part of the role.
In addition to long-term planning, Aaron will manage the athlete carding process and provide support to the high-performance unit as delivery of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games Campaign continues.
