Women
in Sport Leadership Course
Sports
consultants Lisa Clancy and Sarah O’Shea are delivering a Women in Sport Leadership
course organised by Swim Ireland and Hockey Ireland. This
course is designed
to support the development of female leaders within the NGB’s.
The
course will take place online over an eight-week period. The aim of this course is to ensure females thrive in leadership
roles in sport. The interactive classes, with participants from a number of
sports, will enable each person to learn over an extended period. There will be
some group and individual exercises to ensure everyone is helped to reach their
full potential.
Course
Content
The course modules include the
following core topics:
Networking and Collaboration
Handling Challenging Situations and Developing Resilience
Crisis Management and influencing in Leadership
Developing your personal brand
Wellbeing
Change Management
Participants will also receive a one-on-one coaching session and support
in producing their own Personal Development Plan. Modules will also include
inputs from experts relating their own personal leadership experiences
including Lisa Fallon (London
City Lionesses Manager).
So far 2 Cycling Ireland representatives have attended this course.
Cycling Ireland’s Women’s Commission
The Cycling Ireland’s Women’s Commission is a voluntary group who aim to develop women’s cycling in Ireland. The members of the commission are volunteers who have been involved in cycling for a number of years. They receive support from Cycling Ireland.
