Commuters

Cycling to work/school/college is on the increase and it's a hugely positive thing to see so many more people going about their daily business on their bikes.

There are numerous benefits to commuting on your bike including:

  • Health and fitness - get your daily exercise requirements in as you commute
  • Cost - cycling is cheaper than driving or public transport
  • Time - in towns and cities, it is often faster to cycle than to drive, especially at rush hour
  • Environment - cycling is a more environmentally friendly method of commuting than driving
  • Increased mobility - cycling means that those without access to a car or public transport can easily get around the place

If you are new to cycle commuting, there are a few basic things that you will need

  • A bicycle in good working order
  • Lights, if you are going to be cycling at night/in low lighting levels
  • Spare tubes, tyre levers and a puncture repair kit
