M50 National Cyclo-cross Championship – Team Medals

Cycling Ireland is pleased to announce that following a request from the Off-Road Commission for the introduction of Team Medals for the National Cyclo-cross for the Open M50 Class for the 2024 National Championships, the Technical Working Group have approved these additional team medals.

These will of course be subject to the following Cycling Ireland regulations.

T10.A1

23. With the exception of the National Track Championships a set of 3 team medals will be awarded to the winning team which must be affiliated to Cycling Ireland in accordance with rule T7.A1.22, and who complies with T5.A2.3.

24. Rule T10.A1.23 above, will only apply if a minimum of 3 teams have entered the race.

Therefore, there must be three teams entered and each of these teams must be registered with Cycling Ireland.

“The TWG appreciate the increasing numbers taking part in the Masters National Cyclo-cross National Championships and previously we only had team medals available in the M40 event for Masters.

In 2023 we already had three teams starting the National Championship Cyclo-cross – so we hope that the inclusion of M50 team medals for 2024 will encourage even more teams to enter going forward”.

The National Cyclo-cross Championships will take place on the 13th and 14th of January 2024 and be promoted by Greenmount Cycling Academy.
