Please seek loan of Track bikes from Regional Commission where possible

U12 100m TT / Sprint / Scratch
U14 250m TT / Sprint /Scratch
U16 500m TT / Sprint / Scratch
Separate events for Boys & Girls

As Per Cycling Ireland Rules – No TT Helmets / No TT Bars / No Disc Wheels

** Please arrive with cleats in good condition!!! **

Gear Limit U16 – 48×15* (Rollout 6.94m – 273.23 inches)
Gear Limit U14 – 49×16 (Rollout 6.54m – 257.48 inches)
Gear Limit U12 (6.14 or Limited to gearing on hire bike)
* Rollouts can change depending on tyre size etc e.g. with a 20 tyre U16 could be 49×15

This year we will be once again running separate events for Girls and Boys but we do need the support of our female riders to ensure that we can do this. The minimum number required for each category is five riders and if we fail to reach that in any of the categories then we will have to run a combined event.

Please note that Track Accreditation is required

  • Sharing of bikes may also be required subject to entry numbers
  • CI Licence must be presented on the day. Race Numbers must we worn (on left)
  • The wearing of track mitts is required.
  • Cleats must be in good condition and pedal retention be turned up high
    If a rider is found to be riding with excessive wear on his/her cleats,
    they will be excluded from the competition
  • Accreditation at either Orangefield or Kanturk Track is also acceptable
  • Provinces are invited to supply one line judge / timekeeper
  • Sundrive Hire bikes have gearing of 49×16 and Look Keo or Toestraps
    (No changing of pedals or gearing on hirebikes) Limited shoes also available

We reserve the right to alter format of qualifying rounds subject to entry level
